Guest guest
Acrylic paint is not toxic, as far as I know, nor is the mod podge that you put over it (you can double check the labels though). I painted my son's bands over and over for almost 8 months and never had a problem. It never seemed to flake off during the night, typically it would get smashed into the mattress/sheet and sort of fold up on the edges (kind of like nail polish does if it gets messed up right before it's completely dry). Or he'd knock his head on something and it would get pushed back in that spot and I would just flake off the extra if there was any. I've never heard of any baby eating the paint on this board. It WILL peel though, so if that's a big concern for you, I would just use stickers and not worry about it.
