Guest guest
I just got in a few hours ago. There was a storm front going through the southeast and angel flight didn't want to send out the pilots. That was fine with me as by the time I got back to the hotel after the eus there was no time or energy for me to gather my things to leave and besides, it gave me a day to play and shop. I have an absolute blast with Lily and , the gentlemen are lucky to have survived our quick with. It does seem as though Lily and I are cut from that same strong but oh so smooth cloth. We all hit it off immediately. I never did get a chance to call Shirley while I was there, actually I kind of forgot. I am so so sorry. I really wanted to talk with here but I had so many things rolling around this not so young (but thank you for saying so Heidi) mind. I did have to convince them to let me be discharged Friday night I told them the hotel had a driver who would come and get me. So I called them and the nurses took me down to the ER and left me there. I wasn't there long, thank the almighty stars, because that place was like a war zone, 9:00 on a Fri night, in a big city in a bad neighborhood. My goodness I couldn't get my small town southern girl backside out of there fast enough!!!! Saturday I woke up aroun noon and got dressed then went to Kentucky; Yup after all that I needed I big helping of " south " . I played tourist, got my picture taken, shopped, got on a shuttle bus and rode all over the city, all of them and saw the sites. When to the little german town and found a great antique store where I bought some estate jewlery. Went to a funky old lady shop and bought a woven scarf that is kind of like a boa, it is very cool. Then went into a collectors shop where I found an autographed baseball, with the authenticated laminated certificate, signed by Willie Mays, for get this $125. Really, my husband about had a stroke. I had gone to some shops like that with them so I knew some of the names used by collectors, I bought some old coins too. My husband has thousands of baseball cards and a few balls, but this is now his prize. The flights were so great. I had 3 pilots and all of them were kind and loved what they do. I was very impressed by their sincerety. I am particilarily fond of one and will stay in touch with him. He took me from Ashville to Cincy, then from Cincy back to Ashville. I am tired and still realling from everything. It will take some time to catch up with all the post and I will let ya'll know what the docs come up with when I find out everything on Wednesday as I see my doc here then. Oh s also had me do a faecal protease elactease test, or something like that, also. I didn't dwell too long on asking questions, just focused on the task. I have know idea what that is, will have to look it up tomorrow with fresh eyes. Lily a special big hug to you and hope your parents are adjusting to your dad coming home. I wish I was there to help you as I know how you feel and what your going through. I must admit I think my mom was a little easier then your dad. Thank you all for the kind words or support and I'll keep ya'll posted.... all pun intended. Chrissy
