Guest guest
Bonita, Hi neighbor, it is so good to hear from you again. Is Gabby still going to Stanford? I think he might have the same pulmonologist that I have. She said a new RP patient had been sent to her from the pediatric clinic. Has your sister come to terms with this yet. Would you still like me to call her? You know I will help in anyway I can. I just don't want to but in and have her feel like i'm prying. Let me know. Did you have your surgery? Hope you are feeling better if you did. I know about this weather. it's the pits huh? Keep us updated on Gaby, you know he is in our prayers. hugs
Guest guest
Hello, Bonita, <<<<Gabby is somewhat ok, he is having difficult when he sleeps because his oxygen level drops some.>>>> My name is and after reading your post about Gabby I was curious about his difficulty during sleep. In my case, my airway was collapsing when I layed down on my back to sleep. Last August, my doctor ordered a C-PAP machine that I use at night. C-PAP stands for Continuous Pulmonary Air Pressure and is commonly used for people who have sleep apnea. I sleep with the C-PAP mask at night and have an oxygen feed going into the mask. The air pressure blows into my airways and keeps them open. I really don't need the oxygen anymore, but I feel like there is some benefit. Sleep has been wonderful since August! I just wanted to mention this in case Gabby's problem was similar to mine. Take care, Re: [Rpolychondritis) update Re: Hello Everyone,, Re: Re: Re: This is Bonita, just thought i would drop a line to wish everyone of my Re: cyber-family a very Happy Birthday! to those who have had a birthday and to Re: the ones coming up! Re: I just thought i would drop a line to tell everyone that i am still here, Re: and i do read each and everyone of the posts it means alot to me, knowing Re: that we are growing each and every day with more family members, one thing is Re: i am sadden to know of this illness and hoping and praying each and every day Re: a cure. but on the second hand it is extremely with happiness and great Re: comfort knowing we are here for each other. Gabby is somewhat ok, he is Re: having difficult when he sleeps because his oxygen level drops some. They Re: will probley have him wearing a oxygen mask so he can rest and breathe better Re: i am not to sure of this issue, but we are still searching for other ways Re: besides the mask. As for myself, i am doing alot better, but the Re: osteoarthritis is playing hard on my lower back and joints i guess its with Re: the change of weather, one day is is warm and spring like then mother-nature Re: brings in the cold. but i am doing good, please let me know if there is Re: anything i can do for anyone here, please i consider helping out the best way Re: i can and with my heart attached, because i pray each and everyday for all of Re: us, that we can bring joy and hopefully some comfort of the pain we are going Re: threw. Well just touching base with you all, and also to introduce myself and Re: my family (Gabby especially ) to the new family members. God bless us all, Re: and most to all of you, also my prayers are with you all. Re: So again happy birthday to the ones that have passed, and to the ones that Re: are coming up.
