Great Book for CF Children...and Adults

I am posting to my " other " lists about this great book I found in Denver.

The book is called " Walter, the Farting Dog " .

Yes, it contains the F-word (FART, of course) and I am, admittedly,

not fond of this word, but it works in this book.

When (7 with CF) saw the title and read it aloud in the

store, you should have heard his laugh. Priceless.

But that is not the only reason I like this book.

It deals with...well...gas, obviously. And while it is a dog with the

problem, it still hit home for me because Walter, like many people

with CF (and some without!) simply can't help it.

Predictably, Walter's problem actually saves the day and the family

ends up loving him, farts and all.

Very interesting illustrations and just an allaround good book -

especially for boys.

I found it to be about tolerance and acceptance, although I did have

a bit of PMS and may have read into things a bit.
