Guest guest
And then my question is what else do we eat because we're all getting pretty tired of baked and grilled chicken and hamburger patties with cooked vegies and raw fruits. We were hoping to be able to make something with nut flour...doughnuts, bread, cookies. Meleah Re: Peanut butter issue > >> >> I have not tried any beans yet, and I guess the test is called > RAST. Guest guest
, I truly was serious about asking what to eat. I'd be grateful for some suggestions. While our family didn't practice the typical American diet of prepackaged foods, chips, cookies, and the like, we did eat a lot of starch. I made most things from scratch before scd. We usually had things like homemade pancakes, biscuits, and oatmeal for breakfast. We almost always ate sandwiches for lunch, and had pasta or potatos a couple of times a week for dinner. So, I don't necessarily miss that hot dog or mac and cheese. But, I have just found myself so limitted because I can't use something like soy sauce for a marinade, canned soups for a casserole, ect. And, I am cautious about introducing new foods. So, I never feel confident that I should use a recipe when it calls for a couple of ingredients that we haven't tried yet. I am comfortable with making substituions of yogurt for sour cream or creme freshe...things like that. My son is a picky eater, unfortunately. The other four of us in the family will eat anything. So again, yes please share some meal suggestions. Here's an example of iel's breakfast. Usually yogurt, fruit, and leftover meat from the night before. Lunch is usually plain cooked vegies, a meat, and maybe fruit. Supper is the same. The meat is usually plain salt and peppered, or a simple marinade like olive oil, lime juice, garlic, and cumin. I'll gladly accept suggestions. Thanks for the offer. Guest guest
Well, our rule at home is that I make a meal, and that is what is served. He has the option to eat or not. I haven't yet been able to get him to eat the zucchini, but he loves meat now that we took away all of the starch. Interesting that he never ate meat until we started scd. He loves brocolli, all fruit, any meat, carrots. I think that the extent of the vegies has been cooked tomato, brocolli, squashes, and carrots. I'm willing to try anything as long as it's OK with only being 3 months on. He doesn't seem to be picky with texture, and I really have figured out any similarities between the foods that he does or doesn't like. So, whatever you think would be helpful is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Meleah Re: Peanut butter issue > >> >> , >> I truly was serious about asking what to eat. I'd be grateful for > some >> suggestions. >> > > > Okay.
