Apple juice is illegal. The honey has to be the right kind for SCD.

Dear Emma,

Unfortunately, this would not be legally binding if she perhaps doesn't know for

sure or there is some sort of mix-up. The best thing to do to be sure is to

have them give it to you in writing on company letter head. If they give you a

hard time, I would not trust them. Just email the same place and request a hard

copy on letterhead and see what happens.

Oops, Carol is correct. Apple juice is not allowed on SCD so this would be

rendered illegal.

hi this is their response, should i ask for more?

Dear Emma,

Katharine has forwarded your email on to me.

I am waiting to hear back from the supplier regarding whether runny

honey or set honey is used and will respond to you when I hear

back. I am afraid that this may take a few days or possibly a

couple of weeks as the factory closes this week for the French

summer holiday, but I will reply to you as soon as I hear from them.

The apple juice, apple concentrate and apple vinegar are not

composite ingredients and do not have any sugar added to them or

indeed any other ingredients. As Katharine has stated already, we

do not add any sugar to the products, and when we want to sweeten a

product we use honey or apple juice. The list of ingredients you

see on the packaging is complete - we do not have any 'hidden'

ingredients, and any composite ingredients (e.g. flour blends) are

declared in full.

If your children are on a sugar-free diet as you have described the

Rabbit Organics products are suitable for them.

Kind regards

From my understanding, Elain worried that when something is

processed and turned into a concentrate that the sugar in it can be

changed into an illegal. This is an innocent consequence and

molecular change that can takes place. Nothing is added to do this.

So yes, the ingrediants would reflect what is in it, if they are

telling all...but it would not demonstrate on the container that the

sugar in the fruit or vegetable had been changed do to processing!

So they wouldn't be lieing!

The banana does the opposite. When it has spots it has converted

into a LEGAL. As wee know unspoted and Green are illegal. So be

careful people when using concentrates and don't mess up with a

unconverted banana. If it is not approved on the legal illegal

list, I would be very careful indeed. Drove me a bit bananas in the

beginning too! I found all sorts of " legal " products that I now

wouldn't trust! We experimented...and failed too many times!

Hope this helps to explain things a little better. Antoinette and
