Guest guest
Gail, What wonderful news that Cyrus is out of ICU. I know you have a long road ahead but you will be guided through. Remember there are lots of prayers being sent from here. If Cyrus is awake tell him Hi and give him a kiss and hug. Remember I love you both

Guest guest
Gail, Hi, I'm one of the sorta new members having joined a couple of months ago. My RP was diagnosed in March 2001, and I also have a lot of pulmonary involvement. I've been reading with much interest your emails regarding your son, Cyrus, and his ups and downs of late. I'd like to know a little more about the possible airway reconstruction that was being considered - when you have time. But for now, I just want you and your son to know that you're both in my prayers. As a mother I can certainly empathize with you as my son was injured in a car accident a few years ago and is now a paraplegic. When he hurts, I hurt. But when he's doing great, I'm on cloud 9. I'm so inspired by his ability to bounce back after a setback and am learning to do that myself. Take care and let Cyrus know that there is a mother-son team in Kansas City pulling for him. My love to you both, LATEST UPDATE ON CYRUS Re: I am happy to let you all know that Cyrus is now out of intensive care unit Re: and has been moved too a regular floor. Guest guest
Gail, So glad to hear Cyrus is out of intensive care. Praying he will be able to get his spirits up and fight this darn RP. Love Ya, Sandy I am happy to let you all know that Cyrus is now out of intensive care unit and has been moved too a regular floor. Yesterday he was in very bad pain in his chest and head and having difficulty clear all the mucous because it's still kinda tight in his chest. His spirits are down somewhat but I guess that's to be expected after going thru everything he has been thru and the past couple of days and then to find out they cannot reconstruct his airway. I am giving him plenty of love and support. Because we are still fortunate and very much blessed. We are taking it one day at a time and hoping he's doing better today and each day that goes by brings us one step closer to coming home. Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes.
