new to groups.. information and support

My name is Grace and I am in Idlewild, MI. I am looking for

information and support... really more support right now than

information.

I am a nurse, I have been for almost 10 years now and I have been

dealing with this disease for... well, since 1996. It seems like an

eternity now. I have great doctors but I don't feel like they know

enough about the disease sometimes.

I read about another group here online, the pancreatitis place, and I

tried to gain membership there, but I haven't had much luck. I was

hoping to contact the author of a letter that was in our local paper

as a letter to the editor. I think she was an owner of that site.

Oh well, hopefully by the Grace of God, I will have the good fortune

to make some friends and gather a little information a long the way.

This place and the other group I did manage to get into today seem

like a GREAT start!

I have joined, I believe a group that ? is in, but I, for

whatever reason have not been allowed to join the pancreatitis

place.

I believe is the person that authored a letter to our local

paper about Chronic Abdominal Pain, and Chronic pancreatitis. Its

been swhile since the article was ran, but I kept it and decided I

needed to get into some groups either here or locally, I have some

serious decisions to make regarding my health care and my body as far

as surgical procedures go.

This area is not teeming with GREAT surgeons, or at least to my

knowledge there aren't many around here. But, with God's help and a

little help from my friends, I know things will be ok.
