Idiotpathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is a group of diseases of the lower respiratory tract that lead to the loss of functional alveolar units, and a limited transfer of oxygen from air to blood. There is widespread inflammation and accumulation of scar tissue within the lung tissue. Idiopathic means " unknown " . The cause is generally unknown . Is it environmental? Or someother cause.
