Guest guest
Hi everyone, I had to go down to Knoxville today to get my preop done for abdominal and chest surgery on Thursday. (Oncologist is removing 3 non malignant tumours from my abdomen wall ..pressing on my bladder, and one on my sternum, getting bigger and excrutiating pain at times). I have been relatively pain free from my last big sphincterotomy in September and on the way down there (a 2 hour drive), I started to have that familiar mild tightening and ache in my pancreas area...it didn't develop into severe pain thank goodness, but it lasted for most of the trip down there. My GI is based at another hospital in another town, but I would have stayed at the hospital I was going to if I had to be admitted for pancreatitis, as I don't want to miss out on my surgery *L* I guess the scar tissue is starting to grow back and cause a stricture yet again..but if this is going to happen only every 4 months or so..then my quality of life has still gone up 300% to what it was before. It will also teach me to start carrying my pain meds with me again..not leaving them at home *L* Take care,
