basic cooking question

I'm in the middle of making homemade ketchup on my crockpot. SOOO

tired -- must go to sleep, but it's not quite done yet. It needs a

few more hours of cooking, but leaving the crockpot on all night will

be just too much. Is there any problem with refrigerating it

overnight and then cooking it a few more hours tomorrow morning?

(Sort of like it's a no-no to let frozen meat thaw and then re-freeze.

Any similar no-no on re-cooking rule?) Thanks for any advice. As

you can tell, I'm not used to cooking. :-(
