Guest guest
The ACLU and CNDH has released the subject report on the 15th anniversary of the border enforcement policy Operation Gatekeeper that concentrated border agents and added walls and fencing along populated areas, intentionally forcing migrants to hostile environments and natural barriers that increase the incidence of injury and death. The crisis is highlighted in today’s Washington Post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/29/AR2009092903212.html?referrer=emailarticle For those of you joining us at the Eastern Stream Migrant Forum, the report offers some great background for the featured plenary panel the will examine our border policies. I’ve attached the report, but if you have trouble accessing the attachment you may download the report at http://www.aclusandiego.org/news_item.php?article_id=000888.
