Guest guest
Hi! We have tri-care prime and they DO NOT cover it at all. My mom is a nurse for the insurance company and she has done a lot of research about tricare and the band and there is no way the pay for it. We have fillied our appeal and we know its going to be denied. My son get his helmet about a month and a half ago. We used the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society to help us pay for it. They gave us a grant to pay for it. I am sure there is some kind of organization u can use. What branch is your husband with and I can look cuz i found one for someone in the Airforce. My husband is in the Marine Corps. The Relief Society cut Doc Band a check for $3000 cuz they took off $500 if you pay in full. I have seen some results with my son so far and he was 11 months when he got his band. We were told the older the child the slower it goes. We got to Phoenix, Az every other week for his band, its a 3 hour drive. Feel free to email me cuz I know what you are going thru with Tricare and its sad because one of their mottos is " Whatever it takes " yeah right. - Logan 13 months Plagio > > > > Hi~ > > I posted questions before about positioning vs. helmet. Guest guest
Sorry I missed the original post, but Tricare caught my eye We are military overseas (Korea) and have Tricare prime. Our youngest son (a twin, now 10 months) is in Starband (for right side plagio, bossing and ear misallignment) and we literally saw improvement within the first week (one month later his numbers have improved 7mm and counting!!)! The second guessing was short lived on our part due to the very obvious improvements (hey, we started having a hard time telling them apart again!). Our on-post Tricare office explained that because we are overseas, Tricare will cover the helmet... but we mailed the request for reimbursement (with copies of the scan to prove severity and receipt) a month ago and... nothing. Oh, our cost was over 4K (for the starscan, helmet and ajustments), and that doesn't include the specialist at the hospital (we see him every 2- 3 weeks and Tricare IS paying for that). Jo Christian (twin right side plagio, in starband
