Guest guest
I know there are lots of messages on this, but I just want to say that " repositioning " isn't really tummy sleeping. It is true that plagio and tort are less common with tummy sleeping, but the SIDS incidence is higher. However if you are really trying to agressive repo, you need to keep the pressure off the flat spot and put it on to the prominent area. So what you do is position the child so they are resting on the prominent area - which usually wouldn't be onto the tummy, because the prominent area is usually at the back of the head. Does that make sense? -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad. > > > > > > Are any parents out there repositioning their babies and having > > them > > > sleep on their tummies? > > > > > > Also, did your baby sleep ok? > > > > > > Sleeping on tummies is actually more natural for newborns but > > the " Back > > > to Sleep " campaign has reconditioned what's natural. > > > > > > I have tried to put my son on his tummy for naps (totally > > monitored and > > > supervised) and he just won't sleep on his tummy anymore.
