Ellen,

<<I am nervous about the intro diet..>>

<<WE can do two days of this....done 36hour clear liquid only for scopes, but 5

days or more.. that is gettting a bit dicey. And then I get confused about

adding foods.. >>

Intro need only be for two days. After that, it might be best to add foods one

at a time... but you could add any food (refer to the " stages " list on

www.pecanbread.com for general categories of foods that are most easily

tolerated for beginners) ... that you know she was already tolerating (peeled

and cooked for all veggies and fruits except ripe banana). Try small quantities

of anything new to start with.

As long as you are comfortable that she's tolerating a new food you've

introduced, go ahead and bring in another. The only reason we suggest one at a

time is that when you introduce several new foods and you get some sort of

reaction, you don't know which is the culprit until you go back to square one

and intro them one at a time.

I can't help with the dairy and egg free ideas as we are fine with both. You

might take a look at www.scdrecipe.com and see if there are any ideas there.

Could be that you'll get stuck with just soups and stews for a while... but

there can be a lot of variety there. If you find just a few basic recipes that

she likes, you can at least have some core " sure thing " main meals.... and

basically branch out later, experimenting within what foods she can tolerate. I

hope some other egg and dairy free families will add their ideas.

Yes, I believe the Applegate Farms hot dogs (the " Stadium " dogs, anyway) are

legal.

I'm sorry, I also have no idea if SCD can help with inflammation of the kidneys.
