Thanks Marg,

I guess I was disappointed that Dr. R wouldn't try to

contact me to get the story straight. I have been fat

all my life, I will wait if need be, but I hate to

wait if there is not a reason to.

He still hasn't replied to my emails and that does

disappoint me. One email from him could straighten

this whole thing out and make me feel much more at

ease, but alas, no reply.

I will call Barbara on Wed and try to get her to see

what the problem is. I guess he is mad at me now and

doesn't want to talk to me. Well, welcome to my

world. LOL

Anyway, I will let ya'll know what I find out. I just

hope he will reply before Wed although I know he

won't.

Judith, What would he be researching? That is ok with

me, but why wouldn't he just tell me that. Just to

make me feel better. I keep hearing how caring he is

and I don't feel cared for at all right now. That is

ok, I STILL want this surgery and I will hang in there

until God tells me otherwise. (Or Dr. R )

Haven't a clue, and I'm new to the list, so I'd be the last to have insight.

But RR seems to use his time efficiently, so maybe he's thinking and just

trying to get all the 'ducks' in a row so he just has to contact you once.

If he has to contact anyone else for placement or info, he probably can't do

it until regular business hours. And, this is a three day holiday weekend,

you know. I know you are impatient, but I'm certain this is one of those

cases where the 'squeaky' wheel doesn't get greased, if you know what I

mean. Anyway, there isn't a thing you can do about it. Not a thing so

maybe the next paragraph will help.

There's a wls physician in Portland, Oregon who uses some kind of guided

imagery with his patients. I think a lot of that stuff is crap, but I've

been monitoring that site and he suggests they think of themselves as leaves

meandering down a stream and it seems to have a quiet and restful effect.

Any how, the people on the site make frequent positive references to it.

Would that image be of assistance to you? Of course, I would automatically

say, " okay, if the leaf fell off the tree it is probably dead, turning brown

and decaying, it will get waterlogged, mushed up with other detritus, a

beaver will poop on it and then use it as a foundation for it's lodge, the

winter will be over and the lodge will break down, go further down stream,

into a marsh, get pushed underground, millennia later someone will find it

as a fossil and use it for first grade show and tell. " But, don't let me

spoil the image for you....

Thanks for the pick me up.

HOWEVER< I DID hear from the infamous Dr. R and

apparently I still have alot of work ahead of me. So

I will do what he wants because I know now that there

is no way he could have misunderstood me. I have made

it crystal clear and he now has made it crystal clear

to me.

SO..... off to work I go......
