Guest guest
You know, When you mentioned writing a book about your illnesses, it wouldn't be too bad an idea for everyone to write their stories, successess and failures with surgeries and treatment plans, horror stories of pain management, misdiagnosis etc...and have it sent to every hospital as a compulsive read...Who knows, with all our stories, it might eventually give some insight to a doctor or two and eventually come up with a solution for even just one person..the worst it could do is to get the ER doctors to be more compassionate about our situations, and to believe in us more than they do.. Guest guest
Could you imagine how thick this book would be? would have to be an A-L & M-Z double volume *L* I think it is an excellent idea, and I get that excited feel about doing something worthwhile..fighting for something for others to benefit from also.. My cancer policy was denied for the type of tumours I have, only because they surgeon classed them as non metastatic, and I have been fighting them on this for the past year. Finally, my new surgeon had them state in the pathology that they are a slow malignancy and are a form of low grade sarcoma, so that the " clerks " ..not cancer specialists mind you...will finally approve it for me. and in doing this, all insurance companies will have to approve it for the other few hundred who have this type of tumour. I'd be only too happy to help start or participate in another cause that would help us all *s* catherine
Guest guest
---, Believe me, it has crossed my mine a bunch of times. However, I have been through so much since 1966 when I 1st started exhibiting symptoms, that I wouldn't be able to remember it all. As it was, I only gave you guys the " Cliff Notes " of my past experiences. I neglected to mention a great deal of the humiliating, embarrassing, or any of the other emotions I went through as I was sent to psychiatrist; the number of times I was in the ER and the treatment I received in such places etc. Even if I tried, I would most certainly forget to mention something as I always do when trying to relate my story. Thatis why I usually try to stay clear of it and give out only the details requested of me. It is a good thought though... Andre'
