He has two meals a day, mainly meat and vegetables and has elaborate supplement protocols. is also very thin. > Are these the goals you are seeking? > No, I guess I was unclear- I'm not trying to take exactly what is taking as I have a very thin little non-autistic, but more ADHD range, 5 yr old with a lifetime of stomach issues and allergies and asthma I am dealing with here. We eat 3 meals plus 2 snacks a day including fruit and honey and some nut goodies (although experimenting a few days nut free and see the mouth blisters seem to be clearing.) He seems fine so far with the new yogurt intro last week. What is so great about 's site and group archives is that he has accumulated a massive amount of knowledge that pertains to what most of us here are dealing with. You just have to go through and dig out the information and apply it to your situation. It doesn't compete with SCD, but complements it once you get past a certain point. I have spent my entire life on passive " yes m'am, no sir! " people pleasing mode and for 3 and 4 years respectively have let the DAN and ND hand me a product and I blindly gave it to my children with no questions asked. I could be driving a BMW around with the money I've spent (mostly wasted) instead of a 9 yr old car. I have a high IQ, but have sailed through life not thinking or really using my brain! It has taken me a long time to realize this and from now on I am going to be in control of what my children and I take because believe me, it has only gotten worse following the ND and DAN's well intentioned advice until we got to the desperation point of having no other choice but SCD. I am so grateful to the helpful people on this list such as yourself, Patti, Jody, Mimi, , Summer and more- you all have very different personalities and ways of helping people, but big helpful hearts in common or else why would you all spend so much of your valuable time on boards helping people out? I have seen such a huge health improvement in my son with just the diet, but I feel like there is more I can do for him and my family now regarding our metal issues plus more. So, that is why I am soaking up the information on 's site, not to emulate him, but to self empower myself.
