Hi ,

Just wanted to say " Take it slow and take it easy. " You have been through a

lot and healing takes time. BTW, there is such a thing as the healing itch.

When it starts itching down there, then you will know it is healing. Remember

that now time is maybe going slow but time is now on your side. Before your

surgery, time was your enemy. Now time is your friend.

I hope you have had a good day,

Best wishes, Poncho - GA

Hi

The nurse has been coming every morning and every afternoon, and

says there is little change, but it should start getting better

within 2 weeks. No anaesthethic was used when he cut away some of

the dead skin, but I am still numb down there, and couldn't feel

anything but a bit of pressure and pulling, is still that way now.

The strips the nurse placed on the rest of my incision that came

open is sticking fine thank goodness. Today has been a bit

miserable, for I felt like I was going through withdrawal of my pain

meds again, having stopped taking them 1 1/2 days ago, as my pain

was minimal, now at least I have hardly any pain at all..but it is

seeming to be more like a cold coming on, which is all I need at the

moment.

Husband goes back to work tomorrow, and I'm not looking forward to

that at all, apart from loving him and love having him around all

the time, it means I've got to take charge of our little girl

again..I can't just rest whenever I want to *pout*.

Right now, all I want is a nice hot shower, but still can't have

that until tomorrow. I'll say one thing, I seem to stop hurting in

one place, only to start in another..my pancreas is fixed for now,

my tumours are gone for now, but having lost lots of abdominal

muscle, my back aches more and this will be the new story of my life

that I will just have to live with...
