Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for asking: I tried the Zofran friday night just to see if it would knock me out. I didn't want to take it during work and end up snoozing on the bench top. I am happy to say that it didn't make me sleepy at all. I haven't had to use it yet for the nausea issues. Which is good. Did you know that they are $22.50 a pill - yikes! The morphine is working wonderfully - I am so happy that I am taking these. It is the first time in years where I can actually forget that I am sick! I actually go for hours now without thinking about how much I hurt. In fact, I was even thinking today that I am cured, until the pill wore off that is....But still, it is the first time in almost forever that I feel like I am a real person again. The only bad thing is that I have a horrible itchy red rash that itches like heck and burns like a sunburn. So I am hoping that this will go away as my body gets used to the meds as it is quite awful to look at and uncomfortable. So overall, I have been able to cut down slightly on the oxycodone, but even doing so, I am able to get the pain levels down to 1s and even 0s. Better even than when I had the one stent in that was working! So I am happy for now, all things considered. And I am so encouraged by your report that you have stayed pain free from these second stents for over a week now! That is a miracle as far as I am concerned. Your doctor must be a genius (as well as his patient). I hope it continues to go well! (Do you know what size he has in you? The diameter and length? Mine only went up to a 7 French, 4cm long, and I am wondering if that is why I didn't have lasting relief....if a bigger, longer stent may be more successful in the future).
