I introduced yogurt last week to my two toddlers and have been

watching stools and mood very carefully. I thought we were in the

clear as stools and mood have been great. However, my younger son (2

1/2) has begun to slur his words. IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT THIS IS A

RESULT OF INTRODUCING YOGURT AND CHEESE? COULD HE POSSIBLY BE HAVING

AN OPIOID EFFECT/URINARY PEPTIDE ISSUE?

1. How many days on the yogurt? Goat, Nut or Cow yogurt?

2. What was the frequency of their stools?

3. How much did you start with?

4. Any other new foods? Suplements? Medicines etc. in this time

frame?

about twice per day; Colby about 3 per day.

Suplements? No new supplements.

Medicines etc. in this time

frame? Have stopped chelation (it's been over two months) to

replenish minerals.

Hi Janice,

It sounds as if your younger son may be having a reaction. I'd stop

the cow yogurt for now.

He may do better with the goat yogurt because of the smaller milk

proteins - at this point his body may be unable to digest/tolerate

the cow yogurt (larger milk proteins). He may be okay later with

the cow yogurt after some more healing has occured.

You wrote that nobody liked the goat yogurt. If you drip the yogurt

to a cream cheese consistency you'll remove a great deal of the

tartness etc. If you decide to try the goat yogurt like this I'd

suggest waiting a few days for his system to clear out and then

dripping the yogurt (maybe add to homemade apple/pearsauce or

another cold food he is tolerating) and starting with 1/8 tsp and

stay at that level for a week. Some of the problem maybe die off

and the driiped yogurt will be stronger.
