Guest guest
Well I am home from my appointment in Indy. The GI there is meeting with Dr Lehman to see if we can get the surgery done without it going into Pancreatis again. She told me that they don't want to do the stenting right now because of the ERCP causing Pancreatis. She is going to see what she can do. so right now we wait. If the pain gets really severe I am to go to the ER and get things checked into. They added an anti depressent to my list of meds. They are keeping me on the tube feeds till the 12th of April because of the nausea. They believe that I have lost all motility in my stomach and they may have to place a permanent tube in the stomach. Has anyone been on continuous feeds for a long period of time. Guest guest
I have not been on tube feedings, but I sure have hung enough of them. Do you have a G-tube or J-tube? Are you on a pump or bolus feedings? I have taken care of patients in nursing homes that have had tube feedings for years, it caused them no problems. It is also a way of medication administration. Guest guest
I have a a j tube and i was getting tpn feedings but they stopped it because it made me worse and made me throw up alot! It is hard to get used to it. It takes time. But youve been through so much dont let this little bump get to you. Its better if you go npo and just use the feedings and let your stomach rest awhile. Hope things work out keep me posted on how your doing and if you have anymore questions Id be more then happy to answer or help you in any kind of way thats the least I can do. -nicole ps. Im sorry what is your name lol Re: Home scared and frustrated I have not been on tube feedings, but I sure have hung enough of them. Do you have a G-tube or J-tube?
