Any Good hints about deseeding?

This is what we do. Cut the tomato in forths and scoop the seedy

part out and discard. Some times I just squeez them out.

For zucchini the same thing, but this time only cut in half and then

scoop out. Or you can just buy the young and small ones before the

seeds mature and become a pain to digest. We have had no problems

just cooking the small and YOUNG ones, after slicing and peeling of

course.

We also make our own tomato juice with a juicer. You just throw

them in after cutting in half...seeds and all....and the bad part

goes into a conatiner in the back to be discarded. The juice comes

out the front. Wonderful for making mixed juices! Apple/Beet is our

favorite! (10 apples, 1 beet and one lemon!) Very good like taking a

God made vitmain!

Hope this help you to deseed better.

Zucchini is easy if like me you use it a lot in flat strips (yummy as

noodles or a base for a poached egg). Cut it in thin flat strips with a

veggie peeler and stop when you get to the core which gets tossed.

I just use tomato juice simmered down for sauces rather than de-seeding

tomatoes. You could force the tomatoes through a strainer.

Thank you so much Antoinette! I'm going to try it today! I did notice the seeds

in the very small zucchini were very tender, so I didn't bother deseeding.

Thanks again, and best wishes!!!

Thanks Carol,

I love broiled tomatoes with swiss cheese, but we buy the plum tomatoes and by

the time I pick out all the seeds, after grilling, there's not much left to eat.

I'm waiting for the Jersey tomatoes to ripen. They are so delicious. They're

also bigger, so I'll have more to work with!

Take care,

Ronnie

All seeds were a huge problem for my one child. You are wise to

eliminate them. They were such a problem for him that I kept seeds out

much longer than almost anything else.

Cut the tomato in half, scoop out the middle (kind of like a

cantalope) and then use what remains of the seeds and the skin.

If the child doesn't have issues with nightshades, as many do, this

will allow you to determine if it is indeed the nightshade or just the

seeds.

After a while I got tired of seeding everything and just got this

stuff into him by juicing... which strains all the seeds out anyway.

Much luck to you.

Kind regards,
