No. It is not legal, it is Chevre which is listed as a not-legal cheese on SCD.

(Boo hoo, we loved this cheese on rice crackers with a glass of Rhone-style red

wine pre-SCD!) The good news is, 24 hour goat yogurt, drained overnight in a

cloth-lined sieve or colander, and just maybe seasoned with herbs or other scd

flavorings, is very much similar to chevre...now if only I could find a good

substitute for rice crackers...

I would like to know if the goat cheese that comes in a log-shaped

package and is soft and almost spreadable is SCD legal. It is easy to

find and is in most grocery stores. I am assuming not but I can always

hope...

You'd have to find out what exact type of cheese this is... (cheddar, jack,

parmesan... are examples of types of cheese). If it's a fresh cheese that has

not been aged, it's not legal. Refer to the list of legal cheeses in BTVC.

Whether it's cow or goat, it needs to be one of those types.
