Guest guest
Thank you for the support, Glenda. I am trying to keep these words of hope in my mind, and I do a pretty good job. I just struggle because I'm feeling as sick as I was the first few weeks..... UGH! It'll be better, I really do know that. Thanks. Hope you're well and enjoying the weather! Seattle was supposed to get a " big snowstorm " , and in traditional Seattle style, we had a slight dusting. Oh well!

Guest guest
MICHELLE, I know you're not feeling too great but just wanted to let you know that your emails are always so upbeat and positive. Your fortitude is contagious. I hope this coming week will be a little easier for you. Take care. Re: Bad week- (Glenda) > Thank you for the support, Glenda. Guest guest
, I feel some common threads when reading your emails. I think you mentioned that you had become a vegan but weren't sure it was accomplishing anything positive. I also went that route when I was first diagnosed. I had been on prednisone long enough by that time that I'd gained 38 pounds. After 6 weeks of a vegan diet, I lost 18 pounds. I didn't feel better or worse at that time. Just got a little discouraged because my PFT came back a little lower than before the diet change. So I started eating fun/fat food again and gained back all 18 pounds. I know it can't be good for my joints or overall health to carry around that much extra weight so I'm back to being a vegan again. Already lost 6 pounds. I'm hoping that being a little leaner will help my breathing when I go up and down those stairs....I hate stairs! But with a 2-story house, it's unavoidable - bathrooms are all up! Have a good week. Also, please pass more about this Dr. Buckner....I'm very interested in any new approaches she might be willing to share with me, my doctors, and/or this group. Is she your Rheumatologist? Take care this week. Re: Bad week- (Glenda) > > > > > > > Thank you for the support, Glenda. I am trying to keep these > words > > > of hope in my mind, and I do a pretty good job.
