Guest guest
Jean My Younger sister had CF she passed away a few years ago. What did you need to know? CF is a hereditary gene that both parents have to carry and there is about a 40% chance of passing it on to your children. If she has CF it is a disease that effects the lungs mostly but also affectsd the pancreas and can in the future cause you to develop diabetes. She should be on enzymes and vitamins. I dont know where you live but go on line and find a doctor (if you can) that specializes in CF. There is a lot of information on the internet and in medical journals about CF. It is also psossible that she can carry the gene and not have CF. I have chronic sclerosing pancreatitis and it genetically linked to CF and I dont have CF. MY thoughts are with you and if you have any more questions about CF feel free to ask.
