Bob, you will be FINE!! The pain is really not bad.. I slept the whole first

day and night. By the time I was really wide awake, I was feeling really

good! And now, at 8 days post op, I feel like nothing was done to me at all.

My biggest problem is that I have a rash. Apparently, I am allergic to one

of the meds. I think it is the Carafate, even though Dr. R. and my PCP both

say that's unlikely... I quit taking it today, and the rash seems to be

clearing up.. I guess I'll know for sure in a couple of days. The pain of

being really heavy is far more of a problem than the post op pain. Don't

worry, just concentrate on how good you will feel afterward!
