Guest guest
Hi everybody - I recently had an ERCP and they cut the sphinkter of the common bile duct. I had problems controlling my pain for about three days, but since then I'm steadily eating better, getting more physically active, and feeling better overall. I'm still on a very restricted diet - but I can tolerate meats ok, definitely not dairy AT ALL even with Lactate (I'm not even going to try again for anybody), I'm going down on my pain meds, and I'm really thankful to be alive and to be doing better. I am so thankful to this forum for the things I've learned, and for your encouragement. I have to admit Pancreatitis is downright scary sometimes. Earlier on especially so, when I was dropping 10 -12 pounds a week. I lost like 80-85 pounds in 2 1/2 months or so. I was very scared. I picked up a few tips from this forum that really helped me out. Sometimes you have to go with what you know about yourself. Medical folks can often be helpful, but sometimes they don't listen to what you are saying. I'm so glad I had medical intervention when I did. I hope that everyone knows that the encouragement you provide means a lot to folks, at least to me. Hopefully I've been a help to some of you as well. I hope to continue to improve and not be back for a long time. Rick
