We just got back from our GI doctor and he confirmed for me that my

son does indeed have lymphoid hyperplasia. My son is also still

having constipation and I told him I was going to try the SCD diet

which he say's " oh Elaines book " . He said he is not sure if it would

be the best for my son since it may make the constipation worse. Are

there any of you out there who have had or have a child with severe

constipation and did the SCD and it made a huge improvment? He

definaltly said try it, but I want to see what you guys have to say

before I start it.

Thanks,

Hi ,

my daughter suffered from constipation, sometime she did not go for 10 days.

I started this diet with her the beginning of January. Her BM changed within a

few days, but than got worse after being on the diet for appr. 3 weeks. I found

out that I gave her to much almonds and nuts.

Your really have to go slow and find out what your child will be able to

tolerate and how your son reacts to certain food. I have started with goat

yoghurt about 4 weeks ago and that really has made a big difference. It is also

important to find out what enzymes and probiotics your son is able to tolerate.

I wish you good luck, I know for us it has made a big difference.

Beate, mother of (14) SCD since beginning of Jan 06
