Guest guest
I had a difficult day today. It was not particularily busy, and my case load was small. So it cant be blamed on hustling. Been having a great deal of pain and had difficulty moving. I was putting in an IV on a young lady who had been in the hospital 5 days. The poor child's arms were black and blue with needles sticks all up and down. She had a line, but it was painful, swollen and red, it was going to blow. The crna's came in and I tried to talk them into sleeping her with that iv, and slipping in a central. No, he didn't like that. Stuck her twice, blew both. On his second stick I put a tornequet on her left arm and just stroked her hand until the veins warmed up. After he blew the second one, I showed him what I had, he said go for it. So I slipped in a pretty little 22, and just as I was bending down to thread that bugger here hits that hot dagger in my side, I kinda froze, I had to get the iv, and did, Asked the crna to tape it while I kinda thawed out. Great IV!! And we all can appreciate that!! But I shouldn't be having pain like that. I'm glad (good) I got her iv in, just luck (nah I'm good); but I dont know how much longer I can keep it up. I dont seem to be getting any stronger at all, quite the contrary. God guided that iv for that young lady. Warmly,
