Hello Dr. Rutledge,

1. Several of the links from within the new Patient Education

Manual did not work including:

Out of State Patients http://clos.net/Obesity/outofstate.htm

Patient Selection Criteria

http://clos.net/Obesity/patient_criteria.htm

After some experimentation, it appears that you have moved your links

to just below close.net because the above htm files came up at:

http://clos.net/outofstate.htm

http://clos.net/patient_criteria.htm

Perhaps you can do a search of your file for /Obesity and take that

out of the path for links still pointing to it.

2. You still have some links from you web page to the old Patient

Education Manual (3/29/00) including the one on the left hand

side of your home page entitled " Patient Manual " and from

http://clos.net/preparation.htm item 3. Download Patient

Education Manual. Each of these take you to:

http://clos.net/get_patient_manual.htm

People may download this version and not realize that they don't

have the latest version.

3. Although the html version is nice, would it be difficult to also

create a new Adobe version of the manual? I haven't worked with

Adobe or html files much, so I really don't know how much

of a hassle this would be. The reason I ask this is

that html files don't always print out as nicely in a book form

because of pagination and margin problems. It is much better for

me to print it out and get away from the computer while I study

the manual. Then I can make notes and put Post-its in the sections

I really need to make note of. If this is possible, perhaps you

can provide a link to the Adobe version from the html file and

just put it at http://clos.net/get_patient_manual.htm. Then

problem 2 above goes away too.

Thank You for being so conscientious about educating us on MGB and

weight loss surgeries. My PCP is very impressed with your stressing

patient education.

Hope you find these comments helpful,

Kris Kuhl

Also, my printer printed 29 pages of " Contact Debbie for.... "

that floats across the bottom of the screen. Maybe not everyones

printer software would do this, but it is also not a true statement

anymore since you do not want to mail manuals from the office now.
