Guest guest
Low tone in children is usually a neurologically based issue. It is not the same as losing muscle mass when dieting or ill such as in an adult. Noah has always had low tone, which got better immediately after dietary change to GFCF and with supplementation with carnitine which was indicated on his OAT test. Did you end up getting the evaluation you were considering for Kiki? You may want to at least have the occupational therapy and physical therapy eval, so she could get these services since she has low tone. Exercise for kids should just be plenty of play outdoors... running, jumping, climbing. As for yourself, go ahead and get moving. Resistance training with weights, bands or babies would be helpful to build muscle. Make sure you get good instruction or proper form though.
