Boy isn't it the truth! Trade one thing for another. If I report

here they do contact her and send her a copy of the complaint. That

I know for sure.

When did you work with Dr. Cotton? It would be amazing if I figured

out you had taken care of me! That would be a hoot wouldn't it.

Last time I was there was in 2000 first time was in September of

1997.

I will tell you a funny story though about the first time I went

down. Everybody I talked to was either from England or Australia

and had these wonderful accents. First time I went I met Dr. Tang.

Do you remember him? He was of Asian descent but was raised in

England. So when I met him and he opened his mouth with that

English accent and the Asian features it blew my mind. Anyway, I

could listen to him and Dr. Cotton forever.

Anyway, when coming out of my drugged state first thing I asked my

husband was what did they find and was thankful they had at least

found something and treated it. Then my husband tells me later that

I looked straight at him and said the following: " Honey will you

speak to me in British? " He said the nurses and patients were

rolling. I of course knew nothing! To this day I get tickled

thinking about it.

Also, Dr. Devonshire, from Australia. Cute as a button and just as

sweet. Anyway, another time I went down and they had put in a

nasobiliary tube while I was sleeping. He took it out the next day

and it hurt like the dickens. I gave him a look that would kill I

think. Anyway, the next time I went something like a year later, he

looked at my chart and looked at me and said " your the one who loved

the nasobiliary tube so much! " I had to laugh. I must have really

given him a look for him to remember that. Anyway, I cannot tell

you the difference in caliber of care down there at MUSC than up

here in Asheville! But, my GI here knows of Dr. Cotton and anything

he says is law! That is a good thing. I E-mail him from time to

time and he always E-mails me back immediately with a short

response. I want him to hear of a success story along with all the

other stuff! I owe the quality of life I have to that place and Dr.

Cotton and his team. I did not want to go there because I did not

want to go out of town but when I walked in there the first time I

knew I was where I had to be. The first time I met Dr. Cotton,

knowing his reputation as a world renowned doctor, I was expecting

the typical snooty, know it all person and it blew my mind when I

met him. When he actually asked me what " I thought " I almost fell

off the table! Trust me in this household, Dr. Cotton is the

pancreas king!

Glad to meet someone who worked with him! I really like his PA too

and I can't remember her name now. MUSC and the DDC does not

conjure up any bad memories at all, only memories of hope with this

lousy rotten disease.

Merry Christmas

Kaye
