Yee Ha! My HMO approved on appeal!

Just wanted to share my good news: My insurance company,

Communitycare HMO of Oklahoma, approved MGB for me on appeal

(initially had approved RNY, denied my request for MGB saying Dr.

Rutledge was out of network but approved after I appealed.) I am

scheduled with Dr. Rutledge for Sept. 14 (my son's second B-day), now

just getting the pre-op labwork done, and writing a longer patient

letter!

Like everyone, I'm scared but excited, and definitely looking forward

to being on the other side!

Thanks to those of you who gave me support and advice on my appeal,

particularly na and DebLaMan@... (Debbie in IL). from what

I hear, CommunityCare is not easy to overturn, I credit the excellent

materials I got from www.clos.net, the help from others and my

general cussedness!
