Dear Carole,

Gosh it's so very nice to actually be back in touch with you and the

group again! :-) We haven't communicated for such a long time that it's hard

to know where to start. How is Madison? How old is she now? I know it must

be wonderful to be able to spend quality hours with her without that " little

monster " rearing its' ugly head. Madison must be enjoying seeing you happy

and healthy! :-) You deserve it!

It's a great big, sometimes cold, mean, world and that's a good reason

to hold tight to your loved ones. I have thought about you, Shirley, ,

Diane, Mark, Andre, Kimber, ect., for such a long time. I can't find .

Have you heard anything from her lately? Let's hope that she's doing so well

that she doesn't have time to write. But she did tell me after her Whipple

that even if it was a complete cure that she'd still keep in touch, so maybe

she's hiding around here somehow.

When I was living in town those people didn't truely understand, or know

how to deal with a chronic pancreatitis/diabetic patient. Those were the

times when I really missed y'all the most and wished that I had access to a

computer. It's lonely having an illness that nobody seems, or wants to

understand. Many times when I was in a bad attack, and decided to give in to

the E.R. (which I've grown to loathe when Dr. Limehouse isn't there), they

would blow me off and say " call a cab, we're too busy to run you to the

hospital. I really missed this forum at times like that. Other times they

would try and tell me, " it's all in your head, I've never heard of

pancreatitis, you must have made that up. " Man, what a mess that was.

I'm so glad to be back here with folks who share and care. It's quite a

difference when you have the moral support of this wonderful group.

I've got to leave for now, upset stomach tonight, hope it passes soon.
