Guest guest
Charlene, Equal. Nut butter is just nut flour that has been processed longer releasing the oils and changing the consistency. So one cup of nut butter can substitute for one cup of nut flour. On Jun 14, 2006, at 4:09 PM, & Charlene Flikkema wrote: > Hi all, > > I have a question about nut butters. Guest guest
Some people say you just use the same amount of butter that you would of the flour. But someone also sent this one time. Pearl 1 cup of almond flour = 1/3 C + 2tsp almond butter = 2/3 c almonds 1 C almond butter = slightly less than 2 C nuts = lightly less than 3 C almond flour 1 C almonds = 1.5 C flour =1/2 C + 1 T almond butter. & Charlene Flikkema wrote: Hi all, I have a question about nut butters. How are they used in substitution for almond flour? I would like to start using almond butter but I need to know the ratio. Guest guest
I've been thinking about the discrepancy in the advice to sub equal amounts of nut butter for nut flour and what is posted below. My guess is that what is posted below simply tells you how much almond butter you will get if you grind up a certain amount of nut flour. It isn't necessarily the substitution formula for baking. Or I could be totally wrong. :-) , mom to > Hi all, > > I have a question about nut butters. How are they used in substitution for almond flour?
