Red spots on skin and scalp

Seems like there was some discussion about a couple of us having red spots in our scalp area and possibly some hair loss. I don't know if there is a connection or not, but I've had some round red spots for a couple of months on my ankle and thighs that were round and 1/3 inch in diameter or smaller. Not too itchy, but raised up slightly. Anyway, my doctor thought that maybe due to my suppressed immunity from taking Cytoxan, I had a skin fungas condition. He prescribed a creme called Ketoconazole that is used once daily for a couple of weeks. They are finally going away. My personal opinion is that they are probably in the ringworm family, but the doc was too kind to say that! I remember as a kid (taking in stray cats) I had ringworms and the ones in my scalp did cause my hair to come out temporarily.
