Guest guest
Charlotte, I was 55 when I had my surgery on Jan 10, 2000. I'm sure you can still take your primpro. I use a hormone patch. Your body will change after surgery.
Guest guest
hi, yes I have had the same thing. They say the Doc has to call they won't tell me anything. But they did say that there wasn't any denial. hugs and slugs, marg
Guest guest
Jeanne, Thanks for the encouragement. I am just so anxious to go ahead with this. I have been waiting three months for my apt. with PCP! I have a question for anyone out there. I am 52 and take Prempro hormone replacement. Do you know if I can continue this after the surgery? Also I have been calling my ins. co. (Cigna) since Dr. R. faxed them the request for approval. He faxed it July 24. When I called Aug. 3 they said they hadn't gotten it. I faxed it to them myself that day and made sure every page went through. When I called yesterday the person I talked to said there was nothing about it on my record but if it was being reviewed it wouldn't have been " scanned " onto my record. When I wanted to talk to someone to see where it was, I was told Dr. R's office would have to call. They would only talk to the doctor's office, not me. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks. in Charlotte

If you do they will be hard to fight. They have denied me 3 times. I have a complaint being submitted to the NC insurance commission by my lawyer. Hopefully you will have better luck than me. Keep us posted on your progress. Best of luck to all of us fighting for our lives. I think the way Cigna treats us is disgraceful. Maybe if we can get enough Cigna denials together, we could have a class action suit against them. I am at my wits end and can't afford to self-pay because Cigna also has a clause that they will not pay for any complications related to a treatment that they excluded. Sorry for venting....Thanks for listening. , Denver, NC BMI 53, MGB hopeful since 2/19. Denver is right outside Charlotte near Lake Norman.
