I don't have much new to add, except that our son does it

too, and I also scratch it lightly for him. If his scalp

is a little flaky I brush it or comb it gently but firmly

(enough to get the flakes off but not so much as to bother

him) with a baby brush/comb.

Actually, in our case, liked to scratch his head

BEFORE he ever even had a helmet! He didn't seem bothered

by anything, and didn't really scratch in a singleminded way.

Now he scratches the helmet too!

my son has been in his Hanger helmet for 3 months now... and has always

scratched his head the moment it comes off. I started brushing his

hair and where he scratched, he really enjoyed that. Now, he brushes

it himself. I don't think there is anything to be concerned about,

just feels good... I would scratch, too, if I couldn't touch my head

all day :) We only wash Brody's hair every other day, luckily it is

very cold here in WI so he doesn't sweat that much.
