Guest guest
If one if keeping an eye on the pecanbread stages....may juice made at home with a juicer be introduced earlier than the raw fruit? Is it any easier than raw fruit/veggies? Prior to SCD there were no known problems with juice (or any fruits or veggies) that we know of. Thanks, Angie family of four SCD for 5 days in support of 9 year old with malabsorption and extreme ADHD issues
Guest guest
I found homemade juice to be a good 'bridge' to introducing raw foods. All four of my family members seemed to do better with juice than with raw fruit/veggies at first. Yes. I haven't used the juicer I bought two years ago, but I've paid attention to the juicing posts. I remember that it breaks down the cell walls like cooking and therefore can be started earlier. You need to make sure that your juicer removes the skin and pulp. (Vitamix does not.) Always dilute. A recommendation of an expert juicer a long time ago said to start kids on 2 oz. and work your way up. (I really don't know why.) Someone else recommended starting with 20% juice and 80% water. Must be powerful stuff. , mom to , age 10, ASD, SCD since 4-23-
