You may continue giving a legal probiotic even though you have a full dose of yogurt. > 2) How do I know if the yogurt turned out right? It tastes a little > like sour milk - which I guess is what it sort of is. If your yogurt is ok it will be thicker than milk. And it will smell and taste tangy. I can't agree to the sour milk comparison because when I taste sour milk I have to spit it out. > 3) The yogurt starter was warm when it arrived. It was sent 2-day > mail. I think I read previous posts where the company said it should > be okay. Should I be concerned about the quality of the yogurt > starter? This happens to everyone and it should still be ok. You might want to time your ordering for the winter months; it's more reassuring that way. > 4) Can I freeze the yogurt - will it still have the benefits of the > good bacteria when I thaw it? If I make ice cream with it, will it > still have the good bacteria? It will lose a lot of the good bacteria to freeze it and make ice cream, but I have read that it still has some. Personally, I would make sure that I had plenty to serve unfrozen for the good bacteria to go to work and just freeze and " extra " . > 5) When we adjust to the yogurt, can we eat as much as we like, or is > there a recommended daily limit? I hope someone else answers this, because I can't remember. I limit our yogurt consumption so that I don't have to be making it all the time, so we've never hit the limit. I may have heard 2 cups??? Or no limit? Not sure. Sorry. , mom to , age 10, ASD, SCD since 4-23-
