Guest guest
My step-father told me that a doctor told him that stem cell research would some day play a role in curing CF. I told him I'd never heard of it being part of CF research. Where do they get the genes used in gene therapy? Is there a connection or is this doctor meaning gene therapy instead of stem cell? I asked him if he was sure that he said stem cell and he said yes. This may sound dumb but I know nothing about stem cell research other than that (I think) they take living tissue and try to get it to take hold in the brain stem of people with brain or spine damage. Any link to CF? Joe
