Guest guest
Hi Henry, I can't believe it's you!!! You have no idea how much I have worried about you. I even sent you a card to the address you had given me in ton and enclosed a personal note asking you to please let me know how you were doing. I guess the reason I didn't hear from you was because you had moved. I know you were living with your parents at that time...did they move too? Anyway, it's great to hear from you and looking forward to an update on what's been happening since you left. I'm sorry you didn't have access to a computer...that would have saved me a lot of worry. Do I sound like a mother? Guess I can't break old habits. With all the support you and others gave me, how in the world could anyone forget about you? I have always kept you in my prayers. Shirley, thanks for forwarding Henry's message and hope you are doing better...it really was a very nice surprise to read Henry's message especially at this time of year. Hope you are doing well and hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Henry, I am still a member of this group...just haven't been posting. Can you believe how this group has grown? You're right, thanks to Karyn, people with Pancreatitis have a great place to come for caring, love, support and more information than they will ever receive from their doctor! Remember, I had my surgery on May 9, 2001 (Partial Pancreatectomy). My surgeon had to remove the tail of my Pancreas due to a rare tumor that always appeared to be a pseudocyst on the MRI, CT, and MRCP Scans...just shows you how wrong they can be. He didn't know until he went in that that " little monster " wasn't a pseudocyst after all. After recovering, I have been doing well with only one scare, had an MRI which showed nothing, thank God. I still take Creon with meals and eat pretty much what I want without pain...can you believe that? The downside is I have gained a lot of weight but I'd take the extra weight anytime opposed to having Pancreatitis. So far my sugar is fine and my Amylase stays at 16. Of course, it stayed that way before I had surgery and I was having Pancreatitis and unable to eat. I had back surgery January 13, of this year. Then this September, I started having arm and chest pains and my blood pressure wouldn't go down so they put me in the hospital for a heart cath. The heart doctor said I have some blockages but they are only about 30%. It seems when one problem leaves another takes it's place. I am so thankful that my surgery worked and wish everyone could get better. The good news is I have another beautiful granddaughter (McKayla) born on June 29, 2002 (my youngest son's first baby). I'm sure you remember Madison, my first granddaughter? Welcome to all the new members...if I can be of any help to you, please let me know. My personal email has changed to CJWatts88@....
