Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just read a post where someone said that they spent an hour and a half filling out the " history " with their PCP. I didn't do that and now I'm wondering if I missed something. I gave my PCP the copy of the letter from Dr. R. for them and they took it from there. I assumed that my " history " would be in my medical records, due to the fact that I've been seeing this doc for 5 years. Now I'm concerned that maybe I should have done something more. What do you guys think? Oh my gosh, I think I'm becoming a little neurotic about this whole thing. I tell you what, I might need therapy before the whole process if finished. Everytime, I start to relax a little, something pops up that makes me wonder. Has anybody else out there spent so much time with the " history " part? HELP? Guest guest
Ranee- It sounds like from others that he will accept less, but you are right. The form on the websight has a lot of early childhood history, family history and such. I filled those sections out for my doc. I knew he didn't have my early childhood stuff. I had to call my mom about some of it. I assumed he would use the rest of the form for his part, but he did not. He used his typical one page physical for and attached what I had filled out and then hand wrote his letter of support and copied some records. I learn new things everyday about this process that I wish were all in one place. Surely he doesn't depend on back post information because he does surgery on a lot of people that are not on this site. If you haven't sent it in you can do it yourself if you are worried, but if you have, I wouldn't worry. Obviously, people do get this surgery.
