Guest guest
hi ranee, call your insurance company and see if they have received a request for pre-approval. I had to call several times and was told they never received it. Then I started asking for names of people I was talking to and for names of there supervisiors because I faxed a copy of the insurance letter, plus Dr. R's office faxed 2 copies and I then in turn mailed 2 copies but they were still saying they didn't receive it. I sent the copies that were mailed return receipt so I knew they had it. because someone had to sign to get it. Then when I had my receipt in hand I started asking for the person who signed the receipt and in about 2 days I was approved. Took about a week or so to get everything straighted out but was really worth it. now just waiting on my preop exams from my PCP and GYN. then nothing left to do but wait on a date. and finish my letter which I hope to have finished this week. hope this helped some in Kannapolis INSURANCE NOTIFICATION > Hi everyone, > Okay, I have another question. Guest guest
Hi Ranee I think calling the insurance co. is the best thing, that way if they deny, you can start by sending your appeal letter right away. Dr. R. Sent my letter, they got it on Thursday and said no by Monday ( Today ) of course they will only take an appeal in writing and then they have 30 days to respond. I'm withyou The waiting is the hardest part. I am sending mypacket off to Dr. R. in the morning, If he can do it , I am cashing in on part of my retirement. I am only 42, I can build that back up, but whats the sense in haveing a retirement $$, if you cant enjoy it. I wish you luck. I hope we are both there this month. Guest guest
Bob, I'm so sorry that your insurance company is giving you a hard time. Don't let them off the hook though. I was denied twice before finally getting approval. I can see that you are really determined to get this done. I have read that he has done people who were over 350 too, but I'm sure that it is an individual thing. I know he will do anything that he can to help you. Best wishes.
