Guest guest
I know that all these IgG tests results can be very disturbing and makes one feel like cutting all out! Yet Elaine said that unless it causes anaphylactic reaction or horrible miserable reaction, to go ahead and eat it. You see, when the gut heals on a strict SCDiet, these allergies, sensitivities and intolerances often VANISH. Or you can play it safe and add it once on SCD for a while, like we did. Once you become more comfortable with this SCDiet after you do the intro, you may want to experiment with the goat yogurt too. We where told to go slow introducing suspicious foods. It has been our experience and that of others that In a batch of SCD yogurt that the proteins are denatured and do not cause allergy like reactions or casomorphine reactions. Please read all posts by recoverymaze (Mimi/moderator pecan bread owner, today) they may give hope also. And of course reread BTVC...I have had to do this many times. We came VERY RESTRICTED...more than you. And now can thankfully eat almost everything allowed. Feel free to contact me off serve if you like, I can tell you more about our success. The Gut heals fast when eating this way, so have hope. Guest guest
Honestly, I would not worry about those results. IgG's are not true allergies, they are just possible intolerances. They most likely are just showing evidence of what he eats, which is still coming through his leaky gut. 2+ and 1+ are really not that strong of a reaction either. You may want to try eliminating the nuts for a short period and then reintroducing and watch what happens. That will really be the only accurate way of evaluating if a food is an issue or not. My kids do seem to have trouble digesting the nut meals right now, so we have cut them out for the past month. They can tolerate small amounts maybe once or twice a week with no problem. Are pancakes too soft a food for him? I've had to be very creative now that we are really limiting nut flours. They have flourless pancakes most mornings, with eggs, honey, banana and various veggies and fruit combos such as pureed winter squash, shredded zucchini and apple, minced cooked cauliflower and blueberries, strawberries and avocado with lime juice. Guest guest
part of the problem of high ig is partly digested food particle getting across the gut ino the blood where the body picks them up as antigens 'leaky gut' its in part an essential fatty acid problem now imo squash made like french fries is not helpful cause with anything deep fried, the frying oils are damaged and partly toxic and contribute to poor gut seal also the nuts themselves, not being fully digestiable may in fact be a fermenting issue and again contributing to the leaky gut boston housing may have lead issues, also anyone with a darker skin needs to look at vit d as per my previous posts > > Hi all, > my son will be 4 , June 06 - Tuesday. Guest guest
efa's are essential for membrane integrity and hence the 'seal' of between the cells as well as thier function fish oil and an organic sunflower or safflower is what i use to give an omega three /six balance evening primrose oil occasionally is also very helpful but it seems to disrupt sleep spo cannot be taken that often because these oils reduce cell permeability and hence the ability of melatonin to bind to nerve cells, they are much better taken in the morning a trick to help the oils be better digested is to spoon them into some white vinegar and beat them up into the vinegar a bit so that the oil droplet size becomes quite small, there is a sort of right ratio between the oils and the vinegar so its reasonably good to drink down. these oils are fragile and need to stored cool, but not so cool as they beocme to thick to pour. the pure oil should not bite the back of the throat at all as a test for rancidity. > > , > You wrote in that it is in part an essential fatty acid > problem. Guest guest
Simone, Tell us again how long he has been on SCD. What does he typically eat each day? What does he like that he isn't currently eating? What was the reaction on the IgG panel? (1,2,3,4) What happens when he eats the foods that showed up on the panel? Guest guest
Simne, Please give us more information. Is he on the intro diet? Or, how long on SCD? Or do you mean that today is Andy's birthday and you're wondering what special treat he can have? Patti Re: I need HELP please!!! Hi all, thanks for the answers, I am so ovewhelmed!
