Guest guest
Hi all, Would some of the grownups write what you eat during the day? I just want to get an idea for some meals. Thank you, June

I just > want to get an idea for some meals. > > Thank you, > June > Hi June, I've been on the diet, going on 6 weeks and here are some of the things I've been eating. Breakfast: Welch's Grape Juice (juice glass 1/2 juice and 1/2 water Cheddar Omelet, sometimes with small side of sugar free bacon and very small piece of nut bread and butter Lunch: Either Tuna made with SCD mayonnaise or Chicken with a small bowl of SCD Chicken Soup (I love it and make plenty of it), peeled, seeded grilled tomato slices, swiss cheese or mashed avocado. Little tiny bit of yogurt and pear sauce Snack: Deviled Eggs made with SCD mayo Dinner: SCD Soup (my family loves soup and we lover this soup), Grilled Lean Sirloin Burger, with melted Cheddar, Steamed string beans, or zucchini, or carrots, pear sauce, small piece of nut bread and butter and/or SCD Gelatin (small amount). We try to drink water throughout the day but in between meals to ensure good digestion. We also have backed off of too much grape juice because of blood sugar levels. I find too much leaves me feeling that " low blood sugar " hunger. You'll remain much calmer when you don't overdo it. I'm still learning, as you are, but I'll be glad to share with you. This is a wonderful place to begin because everyone is so helpful. Best wishes, Ronnie
Guest guest
Hi June, Some breakfast meals: Eggs (over easy, poached, scrambled boiled ) Some canned salmon with a little homemade mayonaisse Ripe banana Slices cheese bacon Peppermint tea Lunch is usually leftovers. Some Dinner meals: -BBQ hamburger patties with a little homemade ketcup, mayo and some legal cheese. Sometimes served in avocado patties as buns with veggies on the side: carrots, green beans, squash - BBQ chicken thighs/legs. (Simmered for 20-30 min and then bbq-ed on low heat , coated with either homemade BBQ sauce or ketchup in the last 4 minutes) Served with veggies or salad. Carrots, Broc, caulif etc. -BAked thighs using shake and bake recipe from http://www.scdrecipe.com/recipes/r_011_00225.php or brushed with oil and seasoned with with some salt & pepper or sprinkled with a homemade spice mix like homemade curry powder, homemade cajun etc. These are easy to find on the web just google " homemade cajun spice recipe " for example. Just remember if it calls for onion powder or garlic powder you need to make your own - commercial is not legal and that you have to make your own spice mixtures. We keep it pretty basic during the summer and I like to use the BBQ as much as possible Sheila, SCD 2/01, UC 22yrs mom of and ..
