Guest guest
, thank you so much. I'm having a really rough day pain wise, and it was nice to hear from someone who understands. I have no idea when i'm going to Toronto. My idiotic doctor who was supposed to contact them 3 & 1/2 weeks ago is supposed to do it sometime this week. And then from there they could give me no guideline as to when I would be going. It's just unbelievebly frustrating. This is my 2nd specialist I saw. The first one didn't care i was in pain or hospitilized 7 times since July. He wasn't going to do anything til I had pain for a longer period of time. He put me on pancreatic enzymes (creon) and this other doctor said they were the wrong kind. And this first doctor said that pancreatic divisum doesn't cause problems and that nobody he knows would try and fix it. So I left him and got this other doctor who is a surgeon. He's really nice. But I get the feeling that besides trying stenting in Toronto, he's not going to have any suggestions on what to do. It just is so frustrating. I have thought of an agency for work. I currently got hired for one, but then my doctor said I can't pick up any shifts til at least mid April. She said I could get into a lot of trouble nursing while taking morphine. So i'm just supposed to take it easy. You have cp right? And are on a tube feed? How have you been holding up? Thanks again and take care, Jen. Guest guest
Thats the thing about nursing, they frown on us taking narcotics. I had a tranduodenal biliary sphincteroplasty in october and was out of work until Jan 1. I begged to come back although my sick leave was extended 4 weeks because i the pain was worse. I lasted 3 weeks and then kinda collasped in the cloak room in tears. One of my co- workers walked me down to the ER and in uniform, in my own hospital, I still sat there for 8 hourse before getting in a bed. Some one said I went acute, but I dont think so. I had a mrcp ercp then they put in the j-g I was d/c 8 days later with home health nursing and hme. They told me I needed a tp/ict and sent me to Cincinatti for evaulation. Now the cinci doc says, nope, thats not what I need. So now I am here spinning my wheels and not getting one bit better. I have tube feedings that take all day. I do eat some times a little, I had some cake last weekend. But I am addicted to fat free frozen yogurt and knock out a gallon every couple of days and real fruit popscicles. I see my doc on wednesday so we can talk. I guess that is when I will find out what my options are now. sounds like you have had your share of ups and downs as well. I hope the stenting will help you, they did for me at first. But I have funky ducts that are twisted and hard to stent. I know quite a few people who have gotten a great deal of releif from stenting. I just wish it was sooner for you. Warmly > , thank you so much.
