Guest guest
Hi Kim, I hope things are a little easier on your side, things around here are as usual, my boys destroying the house and a ready to kill them, I wanted to tell you something that happened two nights ago. a started to cough in the middle of the night, which is unusual. Since we are told not to give them anything, I got up, got her a glass of cold water and my bottle of Lema oil, I gave her the water and then I gave her the bottle of lema oil to breath out of the bottle, after that she coughed one time and that was the end of the cough. Coincidence or not, I was very much amazed. Well, I thought you would like to know. Love to everybody here and have a great Labor day! mom of a 10 wcf, Venanzio 7 nocf, Pepe 3 nocf
Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad it helped stop the coughing. Manuka and tea tree both have anti-inflammatory properies so perhaps that's why it helped. A few weeks ago, something similar happened to me. I felt my asthma acting up so I went to the medicine cabinet thinking, " Maybe if I just take a few deep whiffs of the tea tree oil, it will help. " (My bottle of tea tree oil is a combination of tea tree and lavender oil.) I just inhaled deeply and I couldn't believe within SECONDS I felt so much better. I actually stood there thinking, " Okay, this is NOT possible! " The funny thing is that my albuterol inhaler sits on top of a box of Bandaids, right NEXT to the bottle of tea tree oil -- but it's like I had tunnel vision -- I automatically grabbed the TTO instead of my inhaler! Also, about three weeks ago I was battling a sinus infection. I was really miserable one night and couldn't sleep, then I suddenly remembered something a woman with CF told me she does when she feels a sinus infection coming on. I put one drop of TTO on two cotton balls, and put a cotton ball in each ear -- with the TTO side facing inside my ear. I crawled back into bed, and soon I could feel and smell the scent. As I drifted off to sleep, I remember thinking, " Oh, thank you! I can finally breathe! " It's funny how liquids effect coughs. When my asthma is bothering me and I don't have my inhaler, I get a cup of hot coffee, caffeine is a bronchodilator and the warmth soothes my constricted lungs. But I have a friend with asthma who swears that ice water is her quick fix, not warm liquids.
