Guest guest
Dear Rosylyn, re those panc. enzymes....your levels don't have to be abnormal for a doctor to put you on them & you also don't need a prescription for enzymes, except the pharmacy kind like Viokase, etc. I have been getting mine from various vitamin shops for years, as I need a vegetarian enzyme now, rather than the traditional ones made of porcine, or pig. Often the ones are better quality with less fillers & sometimes cheaper too! Of course if your pres. drugs are paid for by insurance you'd need the doctors version only. My levels are usually normal, but I've been on some type of pancreatic enzyme for over 20 years now.....long before I was actually diagnosed with chronic panc. Hope this helps.....best wishes & one day at a time....sincerely, in Chareston
